Intellectual Property in the Global Marketplace: Tips and Best Practices

Now more than ever, companies that import, export, or conduct business internationally need to have a global perspective on intellectual property.  Otherwise, they risk losing market share or customers, and possibly having their brands diluted, by unknown acts of infringement or misappropriation.  This breakfast seminar will provide practical tips on how companies can protect themselves in the international marketplace.  The presentation will:

  • Identify the core types of IP
  • Illuminate best IP practices for international contracts and deals
  • Identify ways of protecting IP in the trade context
  • Address available resources companies can utilize
