NextGen International Trade Professionals: Preparing a Pipeline for Kansas City

As the William Everett and Mary Ellen Mealman Endowed Business Leadership and Innovation Chair for Baker University, a Department of Business & Economics, Narbeli actively engages with the Greater Kansas City business community in meaningful ways to promote the interests of students, Department, and University. She also teaches international Trade, Introduction to International Business and leads the Entrepreneurship Department that demonstrates the importance of business leadership and innovation.  Additionally she coordinates with the University’s Development Office an annual event that celebrates business leadership and innovation with awards given to leaders in the business community and students; and develops relationships with potential donors that advances the Department’s (and indeed the University’s) mission and academic reputation.  Baker University founded in 1858, being the oldest university in Kansas.

Event Topic: Students take international business courses to learn concepts and strategies that will help them build a successful international business.  In our April 4th Friday event, learn what it is like to teach those strategies and gain perspective on what resources are available to students and seasoned professionals. 

Since we normally have breakfast at these 4th Friday Breakfast meetings, we are giving attendees a gift card to a local international restaurant of your choice. This will support local restaurants during the health crisis and provide a meal for all attendees. The gift card will be emailed to each attendee after the event.
