Thad Geiger, a local farmer and Chairman of the Kansas Board of Agriculture and previous KDA employee will share his insights and advice on today's ag exporting market. Thad will cover: Why it all begins with Ag trade, why it's all about the relationships, and why we have the responsibility of being the world's breadbasket.

Thad is a graduate of Benedictine College with a BA English Literature. He has a 28-year career in community banking, serving on the executive board of Kansas Community Bankers Association. He was appointed to USDA advisory committee by Secretary Perdue in 2019. Thad has been serving on the Kansas Board of Agriculture since 2010 and is currently serving as Chairman. He also worked with USDA, Kansas Department of Ag, US Grains Council, US Livestock Genetics and many others on trade. Farmer, rancher, husband, dad and proud grandpa of eleven!

Since we normally have breakfast at these 4th Friday Breakfast meetings, we are giving attendees a gift card to a local international restaurant of your choice. This will support local restaurants during the health crisis and provide a meal for all attendees. The gift card will be emailed to each attendee after the event.
