"The best seminar on trade insurance in the Kansas City region"

It’s time to reconnect in person after a year of lockdowns and virtual fatigue! Amid all of the upheaval during the pandemic, our experts have stayed on top of the ever-changing trade environment with risks to anticipate and avoid by using the right insurance. Hear the insider secrets for both marine (cargo) insurance and receivables insurance. Everything from coverage to contracts to claims as well as providers to policy options to policyholder responsibilities will be discussed.

The format will be a lively interactive discussion with lots of business use cases in international trade and plenty of time for Q&A. Your safety is our number 1 priority. We are working closely with the venue to ensure we meet local, state, and CDC guidelines. Check the registration website for updates on the policies and procedures we are implementing. As of this posting, masks are required for indoor events, as well as social distancing which necessitates limiting the number of registrants. You will be required to agree to a release statement before registering for the event, and a symptom checklist will be required prior to receiving your badge for entry. (see below)

A continental boxed breakfast will be served at 8:30 am. The program starts at 9:00 am. Topics to be covered include:

  1. What types of insurance do you need for international trade & how it works
  2. What are the benefits
  3. Who are the providers
  4. What are the policy options & considerations
  5. Insured perils
  6. Risks insurance does not cover
  7. What are the costs
  8. What is the role of the insurance broker
  9. What are cybersecurity risks

Parking will be provided free in the Union Station parking garage on the west side of the building. Bring your parking ticket with you for validation.
