Cross-Border Trade: What You Need to Know
Join us for an interactive session where we discuss the essentials when it comes to shipping into Canada.  We'll cover the basics of how the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) assesses and collects duties and taxes on commercial goods imported into Canada using the CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) system.  This overview will include a general summary of the CARM program, registration, broker delegation, and paying your duties and taxes to the government of Canada.  In addition to CARM, we will lay out how a US based company can prepare to enter into the Canadian market, through acting as a Non-Resident Importer. With the current U.S./Canada relationship, we are looking to highlight what the current tariff situation is as well as what the future may look like with the upcoming USMCA review. Following the targeted discussion, there will be a Q/A open for all participants.

When: Monday, October 27th
10:00-11:00 AM
